Changing the Future of Haitian Kids

A.D.C of Haiti

Athletic Development Center of Haiti (ADC of Haiti) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered organization created to support athletics in Haiti along with creating greater awareness for kids in areas across Haiti that have exceptional athletic abilities. The athletic development center would provide coaching, have different types of equipment needed for physical training and strength conditioning, offer mentoring and exposure to recruiters.

We hope to open with some of the main sports already popular among Haitians such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track. Eventually, we hope to introduce other sports like football, boxing, softball, baseball, and gymnastics to our participants.

Problems in Haiti

  • Haitian kids are full of talent and potential, but the problem is that there are no opportunities provided for these kids to develop their talents.

  • They are athletic and have a passion for sports, but the lack of sport development in Haiti impedes growth of these kids’ talents.

  • Only 29 percent of Haitians attended secondary school.

  • Less than 10 percent of them can afford to go to college.

  • Less than 5 percent of schools have organized sport teams.
